This dialog is called from the Catalog menu. Should you ever have trouble opening a Portfolio catalog and suspect that it may have been damaged, you may be able to recover it using the Recover command. Other times to run the Recovery command is when you experience crashes when sorting or searching on a particular field, or you can use it to compact the database after doing a lot of deletions from the catalogue.

During recovery you will see a dialogs which with a series of messages. The captions are:

The last two phases take most of the time; the progress bars are none too descriptive of the actual progress (large 000,000 record catalogues can take hours).

When the task is complete, you get a final message.

Once the dialog is dismissed you can open the recovered catalogue to check it (the client doesn't do this for you).
