How do I tell my client's current access level?

For all catalogues, with or without passwords set, open the Catalog Access dialog.

The level shown as selected (i.e. with the drop-down list still closed) when you open the dialog tells you your current access level. To access at a different level, select another level from the drop-down. Depending on the password method in use you may be required to provide a password as well.

Note that accessing as administrator requires you to have single user access. With a served catalogue this will mean disconnecting all other currently connected clients and switching back out of Admin mode as soon as you no longer need that mode's extra capabilities.

To control the default level of access at which the client will attempt to open any catalogue, see the client's Preferences dialog. The factory default is "Publisher".
