No, neither of these are exportable. If you create these assets for use in a catalogue, then make sure you archive a copy outside Portfolio.
It is also worth noting that, up to v5, when you stop using such assets - even if supposedly deleted - the file size increase they create is not recovered. If you import 10 trial borders is order to choose the right one, your catalogue will grow by the space required for 10 borders, not just the 1 you end up actually using. Although you can 'compact' a v4 or v5 catalogue by recovering it, do be aware that it may result in strange Record I/Ds (RIDs) which may affect scripts if you use the latter.
