Manual: Not listed

This technique is availalbe only for Windows users. The 'cataloger.exe', the part of Portfolio that does the ingest/cataloguing can be made to give a dump of all the data it can see. The method uses the command line so there's no pretty UI. Plus, the data is read/reported raw so not manipulated into the form you may be used to seeing. However, this feature can be very useful when trying to fine tune metadata issues, e.g. checking legacy vs. XMP data or simply wherether a certain tag is in a document. The features undocumented (apart from here!) and not formally supported so what you see if what you get. It appears there is no similar output from the Mac client, so the Windows feature is probably a happy by-product of the coding rather than a deliberate inclusion.

This method was tested with v8.5.1 (Win) on XP(SP2) but was should work for v8.5.x and probably v8.x.
