The FolderSync (FS) pane is an embedded pane on the left of (all) Gallery windows that may be turned on or off from the View menu. When toggled off the gallery contents fills the whole Gallery window as in v5. When FolderSync is viewed, the vertical divider bar between it and the main Gallery contents can be dragged to control the width of the FolderSync pane.

Portfolio does its best to track whether you desire the Folder pane on or off by default overriding this for galleries with saved views, etc. On first install, the FS pane is on by default though it will contain nothing until you add some watched folders.

This what the FSc pane looks like in v6.1.3 (OS X) and V6.03 (Win 2k):

Here's what happens when on of the watch folders changes (i.e. additions/deletions/changes to its contents) - notice how one or more folders get a warning item prompting you to re-synch:

Here are the context menus for root folders at Publisher/Administrator level:

Here are the context menus for sub-folders at Publisher/Administrator level:

Here are the context menus for root folders at Reader/Editor level. Note the greyed-out 'delete' option should actually say 'Remove' but as you can't use the feature it doesn't matter:

Here are the context menus for sub-folders at Reader/Editor level:

Note there is a difference whereby you 'remove' root watch folders - i.e. turn off FS - and you may (access level permitting) delete sub-folders - in which case you are removing both records *and* original folders/files on your system. Use with care!
