Slideshow controls dialog (v6)
This dialog is shown during slideshows. The dialog varies according to the Control method set in the Slideshow Options.
Manual mode:
Administrator/Publisher level access:
Editor/Reader level access (bote lack of access to edit features):
The first five buttons are standard 'video' movement controls, the remainder allow actions on the original files:
- First Item. Or use Home key
- Previous Item. Or use either left arrow key, up arrow key or Page Up key.
- Stop. Or use Escape key.
- Next Item. Or use either right arrow key, down arrow key or Page Down key.
- Last Item. Or use End key.
- Delete from Catalog. Deletes the current slide from the Catalogue - without any further warning dialog (use with caution).
- Delete Original. Deletes the original file of the current preview. This does give a confirmation box with the choices Delete/Yes to All/Cancel.
- Copy Original. The original file of the current preview can be copied to a new location, a file save dialog opens allowing the new location to be selected. The Portfolio record is updated.
- Move Original. The original file of the current preview can be moved to a new location, a file save dialog opens allowing the new location/filename to be selected. The Portfolio record is updated.
- Rename Original. The original file of the current preview can be renamed. A rename dialog appears - note than only the name but not the extension can be edited. The Portfolio record is updated.
If due to Portfolio settings or OS permissions, the originals cannot be accessed appropriately the last 5 buttons may appear greyed out in some slideshows.
Timed mode:
- Pause Toggle. No keyboard alternative.
- Stop. Or use Escape key.
In timed mode the Manual mode navigation keys may still be used without stopping the slideshow
