How do I get the Browser for both Mac and PC?
This situation arises if you use Portfolio on only one OS but wish to make a hybrid CD using the Browser as you need a different program for Mac and Windows.
v6
- The browser for the OS you use can be created directly from the client via the 'Collect' feature. If you have clients for both OSs, this is the recommended way of obtaining one/both browser(s).
- The browser for both OSs is also on your Extensis installation CD; you will need either special drivers on one OS to view PC and Mac CD content or access to both a Mac and a PC.
- If you don't have the CD or the client has been updated since you received the CD go to the support section of the Extensis site and from the download page in the 'Demos' section select the Browser for the OS you require - note the drop-down list has separate section for each OS, first Mac then Windows.
- As of the release of v6.1 for OSX, there are now 3 browsers: OS9, OSX and Windows. To ensure Panther (OS10.3) compatibility the browser for OSX should be created from v6.1.3 (or downloaded).
v5
- The browser for both OSs is on your Extensis installation CD; you will need either special drivers on one OS to view PC and Mac CD content or access to both a Mac and a PC.
- If you don't have the CD or the client has been updated since you received the CD go to the support section of the Extensis site and from the download page for Portfolio select the Browser for the OS you require.
