Can Portfolio handle ID3 data?

Although Portfolio will catalogue MP3 audio files, it does not strip the ID3 track data (e.g. artist's name) - as of v5.01. However, using scripting it would be perfectly possible to extract ID3 tag data (I've certainly seen VB code for reading ID3 data). Note that you will need to manually create the necessary custom fields for the tag data before you start.

It is likely forthcoming updates to the Portfolio client will support extraction of ID3 data.
