Manual: not covered
NO! This is a design fault in NP Assistant (NPA). Luckily this can be worked around by using custom coding of your search template. By using custom code for the search page you may/will not be able to alter the target search field(s). To this you need a working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, the NP API, and where the various parts of NP live. For non-tech users this likely means engaging outside expertise.
A messier fix for those who know HTML & JS (but not the NP API) and which can work around NP's search limitation, is to publish a site and then edit the output HTML/NP code in the 'search.np' template on the web server. For this latter technique do keep a copy of your edited templates elsewhere as any re-publishing of the site will overwrite and destroy your web-site-only edits.
However, if you accept the above realities, there is still a lot you can do - or get an NP consultant to do for you!
