Scripting with VB and the v6 client, if a new Gallery is created - e.g. a find to a new Gallery - the Gallery is created behind the open galleries and thus may be hidden if you view the client UI. In all other respects the Gallery functions as expected. This bug is confirmed in the v6 and is unresolved as of v6.02.
